Mervi Pasanen

Mervi Pasanen is a Finnish author and craft specialist, who is mainly focused on the Finnish Iron Age and the 15th century. Her interest spans from growing the dye-plants and fabrics herself, to spinning, weaving and sewing the finished clothes herself. She is also teaching, lecturing and writing on the subjects in both books and magazines.

Being both a reenactor and a scholar she is as likely to be found at a reenactors event as she is at an archaeological textile conference.
